Benvenuti’s Gallery
Larry Benvenuti has been a professional photographer for more than fifteen years. He was born and raised in Milford, Connecticut on the Long Island Sound. Larry became enamored of the natural beauty of the Caribbean during his tour of duty with the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1971. In addition to being a certified scuba instructor, he received training in underwater photography during a course taught by world famous underwater photographer Howard Hall.
Larry moved to the Florida Keys in 1978 and has been photographing the tropical landscapes, wildlife, and underwater wonders ever since. He has photographed over 600 weddings and special events; his pictures have appeared in a variety of media including newspapers, magazines, commercial catalogs, brochures, and websites.
Besides his wife Marianne, the other love in Larry’s life is the island of Cuba. Since 1993, Larry has made many humanitarian trips to the island nation. He has traveled all over Cuba capturing the beauty of the people, the architecture, the countryside, and the surrounding waters in over 18,000 slides.
